Sundial Bridge

The Sundial Bridge crosses the Sacramento River in Redding, California. It connects the two halves of Turtle Bay Park, as well as the trail systems on the two sides of the river. The bridge was designed by Santiago Calatrava, and is typical of his work with cable-stay pedestrian bridges. The inclined pylon acts as the gnomon of a giant sundial.
